JAPANESE DESIGN / OSAKA

Design that feels Japanese
not simply translated.

ASOBOAD is a design service operated by AMIX, an independent studio in Osaka. We create Japanese logos, packaging, and graphic design for businesses around the world.

Every project is handled by designers who work in Japanese every day and understand how language, typography, and cultural references shape meaning.

00 — OUR APPROACH

Japanese design begins
with context.

A Japanese-looking surface is easy to imitate. Creating work that feels credible is harder. The choice between kanji, hiragana, and katakana changes tone; a familiar symbol can carry religious or regional meaning; and a visually attractive phrase may sound unnatural to a native reader.

We consider those details alongside the practical work of design: hierarchy, legibility, brand consistency, printing, production, and how the finished piece will be used. The result is not decoration added after translation, but a coherent visual identity built for its audience.
