ASOBOAD provides graphic design for printed and digital communication, with English support for clients in Japan and overseas. Projects are handled primarily by email, making it possible to share source materials, confirm requirements, review design proposals, and approve final data across time zones.
Every project is estimated individually. The cost depends on the format, amount of content, number of pages or variations, supplied materials, revision scope, schedule, and whether printing is required. We confirm these conditions before design begins so the estimate reflects the actual work rather than a misleading one-size-fits-all price.
Design data for clients worldwide
International clients can commission design and receive final data digitally. The deliverable format is agreed according to the intended production or publishing workflow. If the item will be printed outside Japan, please obtain the local printer’s specifications before final artwork is prepared.
Printing and delivery within Japan
Printing can be arranged for eligible projects delivered to addresses in Japan. Paper, quantity, finishing, color, schedule, and delivery conditions must be confirmed before ordering. International shipment of printed materials is not included; overseas clients normally receive production-ready design data.

We can support a single communication item or coordinate a related group of materials. Common requests include:

How project estimates are calculated
Format and volume
A one-sided flyer, a multipage brochure, and a group of product labels require different planning and production time. Provide the final size, page count, number of items, language versions, and quantities or variations you expect.
Condition of the supplied materials
Approved text, organized images, logos, brand guidelines, and a clear brief reduce uncertainty. If content is incomplete, low resolution, or still changing, additional preparation and revision may be needed. Tell us which materials are final and which require support.
Design direction and proposal scope
The number of initial directions, required originality, complexity of the information, and relationship to an existing brand all affect the estimate. Reference images are useful, but the goal should be described in terms of audience, message, and desired impression rather than requesting a copy of another design.
Revisions and schedule
The estimate states the included revision scope and expected schedule. Minor corrections within the approved direction are different from changing the concept, format, copy, or source materials after design has begun. Urgent work is accepted only when capacity and requirements allow it.
Printing and finishing
Print cost depends on size, paper, quantity, color, folds, binding, coating, specialty finishing, proofing, and delivery. These specifications should be confirmed separately from the design fee. A change in print specification can require artwork adjustment.
Our design process
1. Send the brief and source materials
Tell us what you need, who it is for, where it will be used, the required size or format, schedule, and budget range. Attach the approved copy, images, logos, specifications, and any existing brand rules.
2. Confirm the scope and estimate
We review the request, identify missing information, and clarify deliverables, proposals, revisions, printing, and deadlines. A written estimate is provided before work begins.
3. Review and refine the design
The agreed design proposal is sent digitally. Feedback should be consolidated by the client so revisions remain clear and efficient. Changes are applied within the approved scope.
4. Approve and receive the final files
After final approval and payment, we prepare the agreed design files. If printing in Japan is included, production begins after print specifications and final artwork are confirmed.

Payment, delivery, and international projects
Payment methods
Available payment methods and timing are confirmed with the estimate. Depending on the project and client location, options may include credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. Transfer fees, currency conversion, and other third-party charges may apply.
File formats
Final formats are matched to the agreed use. Production files may include Adobe Illustrator or print-ready PDF, while PNG or JPEG may be supplied for reference or digital publishing. Editable source data is included only when specified in the estimate.
Responsibility for overseas printing
When printing outside Japan, the client is responsible for choosing the printer and confirming local production requirements. We prepare artwork to the supplied specifications, but differences in paper, ink, equipment, finishing, and color management can affect the final result.

Do you publish a fixed price list?
Some services may have reference prices, but a reliable estimate requires the actual format, content, proposal scope, revisions, and schedule. We provide a written quote after reviewing the request.
Can I request design only?
Yes. Design-data delivery is available without printing and is the standard approach for many overseas clients.
Can you print and ship outside Japan?
Our printing and physical delivery support is limited to eligible projects delivered within Japan. For overseas production, we normally supply final data for your local printer.
Can you work with text that is still being written?
A preliminary estimate may be possible, but final copy is normally required before layout is completed. Substantial changes to text after design begins can alter pagination, hierarchy, and cost.
How quickly can you deliver?
Schedules are project-specific and begin after the scope and required materials are confirmed. Complexity, page count, revisions, holidays, and printing requirements all affect timing.
