DOU-GABIBI is a video degradation tool created as a sister service to the image tool GABIBI. It deliberately turns clean footage into textures marked by missing information and noise, recreating the nostalgic character of early-2000s internet video and footage from older mobile phones.
The tool applies the same degradation algorithm as GABIBI to each video frame, then reassembles the processed frames into a video.
DOU-GABIBI works well for a range of creative projects.
All video processing runs locally in your browser. Uploaded videos are never sent to or stored on an external server.
DOU-GABIBI processes each frame locally in your browser, so processing time depends on the source and settings. These guidelines will help keep it stable.
As a rough guide, a 10-second, 720p clip at 10 FPS with 5 passes may take about 30 seconds to one minute on a typical desktop browser.
Your export is ready.
On iPhone or iPad, press and hold the video below, then choose Save to Photos or use the Share menu. You can also save it as a file.
This preview takes one frame near the middle of the video and applies the current settings. The final export uses the same frame-processing method.
A still image cannot show frame-rate choppiness or how motion will look.
Reset everything?
The loaded video and processed result will be discarded.
An unsaved result cannot be recovered.
