We turned a website into
a town you explore on foot.
Not a site you just scroll and read. Talk to the residents, step into buildings, play mini-games. It's another AMIX design studio — built out of voxels.
CONCEPT
Instead of making people read information, we let them walk and discover it. AMIX TOWN reimagines your company or service as a single town, where visitors explore and find things on their own two feet — an experiential web.
Rather than picking from a menu, visitors walk the town and step into whatever building catches their eye. Because exploring is fun in itself, they naturally stay longer.
The president, staff, and service characters live in the town, and they'll tell you about the company when you talk to them. Information gains a human warmth.
You can sprinkle in mini-games and little surprises. People remember your brand along with the memory of "that was fun."
RESIDENTS
You can feature your own people or characters as residents of the town. Turn them into voxel likenesses and place them around, and visitors feel like they've come to meet the real people behind the company.
EXAMPLE The characters below are just illustrative examples
The town is never finished — it's something you grow. The more encounters there are, the more residents and areas it gains.
INTERACTIVE
Step into a building and move to another scene. A company guide or a factory tour becomes not just a page, but an experience of "actually going there."
Recreate your factory or workshop in voxels and tour the process by walking the line. Deliver the feel of making things — no need to visit in person.
Lay out your history, track record, and philosophy across blocks and floors. A company guide you "walk through" rather than read — a memorable brand experience.
From the town into a building, or off to another district. A design that expands the world by switching scenes. Give each product lineup or business its own "block."
Little games like crystal collecting, day-and-night changes, hidden elements. Weave reasons to keep exploring right into the design.
HONESTLY
Running smoothly in anyone's browser matters most of all. That means the 3D has to be boldly simplified. Precise reproduction and fine detail aren't 3D's strong suit on its own — but that's where video and diagrams can fill the gap. What this town handles is the fun of walking around, a sense of familiarity, and being the gateway to an experience.
The trick is dividing the roles. 3D is the "gateway and experience that makes you want to visit"; video and diagrams are the "details that convey things accurately." By playing to each other's strengths, you get a site that's light and fun — and still gets the message across.
FOR
When "an ordinary site just can't capture it," turning that appeal into a town brings it to life.
HOW
We sort out together what you want to convey and which people or services to feature.
We map out blocks, buildings, residents, and surprises, designing the flow of exploration.
We build the buildings and characters in voxels, adding motion and flourishes.
Even after launch, you can add areas and residents and keep growing the town.
"Could you build a town like this for our company or product?" — we welcome inquiries like that. From a single small block to a full-scale town, we can design to fit your scale and budget. Just reach out through the contact form to get started.
