About VA覇

VA覇 is a creative tool that applies retro and vaporwave-style effects to modern high-resolution digital images. It recreates analog media artifacts such as scan lines, chromatic aberration, tracking errors, and CRT distortion, letting you easily create a retro-futuristic aesthetic.

Reconstruct the distinctive textures of 1980s-90s CRT televisions and VHS tapes — rough scan lines, bleeding colors, and flickering raster lines — on top of digital images. Experience the nostalgic yet futuristic aesthetics of vaporwave with ease.

How to Use

01 Upload an Image

Drag and drop an image onto the preview area, or click to select a file.

02 Choose Preset or Adjust Parameters

Select a preset to instantly apply it to the preview. You can also fine-tune individual parameters and click "🎬 Apply Effects" to re-apply.

03 Save

Once satisfied with the result, click the "💾 Save" button to download as PNG. Ready for social media posts.

Preset Guide

VA覇 comes with 10 presets. With one click, each effect parameter is set to an optimal combination. You can also use the "Effect Intensity" slider to mildly adjust the overall strength.

📼 VHS Classic Classic VHS tape degradation. Tracking errors and head switch noise create a realistic "slightly distorted playback" texture.

🌴 Vaporwave Bold hue shifts with bloom and color bleeding create a dreamy atmosphere. Characterized by vivid, social media-ready visuals.

📺 CRT Monitor Faithfully recreates old TV screens with CRT curved distortion and strong scan lines. Great for retro gaming aesthetics too.

🌅 Sunset Drive Warm color shifts and strong bloom create a nostalgic summer sunset drive atmosphere.

Privacy-Conscious Design

VA覇 performs all image processing locally in your browser. Uploaded image data is never sent to or stored on external servers. Processing is done entirely with Canvas API and JavaScript, with no external library communication.

Compatibility and Notes

VA覇 works on modern browsers that support HTML5 Canvas (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.). Please note the following:

Mobile Processing: Processing high-resolution images may take longer. If performance is slow, we recommend using a PC.
Saving on iOS Safari: On iOS, a modal will appear instead of the "Save" button. Long-press the image to save it.
Glow / Bloom Effect: Uses the Canvas filter property. May not work correctly on older browsers.
Result Variations: Even with the same parameters, effects with randomness such as VHS Tracking, Dropout, and Noise will produce different results each time.
